I am a current student of Miss Elisabeth for voice lessons. I decided to step up and start taking vocal lessons out of my bands desperation to find a singer. Although I have a long way to go and much room to improve, Elisabeth has given me the confidence to perform with my band and given me songwriting tips to create vocal melodies for our songs. Singing is very new to me being only a guitar player for years and has come with much frustration but Elisabeth has shown me nothing short of patience and care for my development as a musician.

I'm very grateful for the team here specifically Elisabeth and James who have kept me motivated to continue to grow. Elisabeth is a great instructor as she creates lessons that specifically meet your needs of where you're at as a singer. Even if you're an absolute beginner like myself.. I am always stoked to show up for my weekly lessons!

My 6 year old daughter has been attending Dawn of Music studios for piano lessons for almost 2 years. This studio has been amazing! Not only is it affordable and a great value, the studio is very flexible for folks who don't have rigid schedules. My daughter started with this studio with no music background. After about a year of 30 minute lessons each week, my daughter learned how to ready notes, play basic songs from sheet music, and even play in front of others in a recital. Upon viewing progress of other students during the recital, this musics studio has many amazing and talented students.

This students of this studio developed because of the amazing music teachers, individualized curriculum, and program. They have methods to incentivize students to practice at home and build on their skills during weekly lessons. If my daughter is unable to make it to a lesson she can either make it up or the studio can send her a video lesson (super convenient!).

My daughter's music teach, Ms. Elisabeth, is extremely patient and knows how to get my daughter to focus on the material and not get distracted. She has many tricks to easily introduce new music theory and reinforce the skills required to grow into a strong pianist. She makes piano fun for my daughter. All the students of this studio are on the path to being great musicians because of teachers in this studio.

My son has been taking guitar lessons from James Golden for about a year and a half. What an incredible experience it has been!! My son (14 year old) is thoroughly engaged and passionate about learning the guitar. James has taught him in a way that is challenging yet very exciting. The bi-annual recitals are a great tool for the students to strive to reach their goals, and as parents, it's a great way to see first-hand just how much work goes in from each teacher to each student. I've been able to teach myself how to play a few different instruments, but singing has always eluded me. I've read tutorials, I've watched YouTube videos, but I never felt comfortable singing by myself and definitely not in front of other people. I felt a little weird signing up for singing lessons at 24 but I went for it and I'm SO glad I did. Elisabeth is a wonderful, skilled, passionate singer and teacher. She's full of insights and tips and techniques that have turned singing into a relaxing, enjoyable experience. And I'm starting to sound pretty good too! A few months in I even sang at one of their recitals in front of at least 30 people, something I never would've done before. The owners are very friendly and very quick to respond to any schedule changes or requests I have. The location is easy to get to and park at. I definitely recommend!

We started bringing our daughter in for vocal lessons in late 2015, to help her prepare for a high school musical. It's a great place, and has really helped her a lot (thanks Ms. Julia!) - she loves it and wants to continue. Good communication from James, and like emails reminding us of upcoming lessons.

After a several of voice lessons in college, my journey into being able to better use the instrument of my voice really began with A Dawn of Music Studios in 2009.  I have been taking lessons with the studio continuously save for a two year hiatus from voice lessons in 2012 with a return to the studio in 2014.  Previously, I had 9 years of piano lessons when I was younger that gave me a decent musical background to start from.

It has been an absolute pleasure taking lessons and learning from Kristi and the many other teachers who are with the Studio.  Kristi is a wonderful instructor who starts with teaching the basics of breath support and shaping of the embouchure through various vocal drills and exercises to help prevent bad singing habits from forming.  Then, with some technique nailed down, it'll be time to move into songs!  Teaching is paced and adjusted to a student's initial level and how quickly a student progresses in their abilities.  The recitals every 6 months or so provide a wonderful opportunity to help with developing performance skills and to show a student's progression.  

Kristi and the other instructors at the studio bring a warmth and love of music that is shared with the students.  There are times when the practice can get frustrating, and things are not progressing as quickly as you'd like, but the instructors there are very capable of coming alongside you and helping you through those plateaus to enable you to continue developing your abilities.  If you're looking for a place to develop your abilities as a Vocalist or Singer, I highly recommend A Dawn of Music Studios.

After many years of being away from piano practice I decided to start taking lessons again so I began looking for classes and decided to take a shot with A Dawn of Music Studios. I'm so happy I did! Everyone who works at the studio is so helpful and knowledgable. My piano teacher, Nicole, is a sweetheart and you immediately get the feeling you're in good hands with her. She really knows her piano!  She is also very eager to make sure you enjoy the lessons and get the most out of them. She really cares about her students! I highly recommend her and the entire studio. Highly professional, passionate people :)

I had my first lesson there today, May 2nd, and it went extremely well. I was taught some breathing techniques and what my vocal range is. The staff was very nice and helpful. I took lessons first from Edna before she left to finish working on her album and now I am taking voice lessons from Kristi Dawn (the owner). Edna was great and Kristi is fantastic! I've been taking lessons less than a year and already have noticed significant improvement in my singing abilities. Kristi is very knowledgable and a great teacher. I highly recommend this studio and their teachers!

Well, I am going to speak as a novice in this domain. That was my first singing lesson at "A Dawn Of Music Studios". I had a 30 minutes with Kristi which was great. She is so passionate about music. I will definitively recommend this place to my friend. Actually, I already did. As a beginner, I feel very comfortable in this positive environment. 5 stars totally deserved :D.

I had my guitar lesson at late night. The teacher was really nice. I like this guitar lesson.

First off, I would like to start off by saying that I have been in music for over 20 years. I started writing songs when I was 5 years old and did my first professional vocal recording when I was 7. I am not new to to the world of music! When I was offered a free voice lesson with Kristi Dawn in 2007, I confidently took it. I thought this would be a great opportunity for me to find out how good I really was! I wanted to wow a vocal coach with my natural abilities in singing. I was not expecting to learn much at the lesson.  In fact, when I got to the lesson Kristi asked me if I wanted a beginner or advanced lesson? I said advanced with an attitude like, give me your best shot lady! I have never been so sweetly humbled in music before. In one 30 minute lesson she showed me more about singing and vocal control then I had learned in my life up to that point. The lesson was so impactful that 7 years later, I still use what she taught me in that first 30 minute lesson when I sing today.  Kristi has a great school and all the teachers at A Dawn Of Music Studios are as nice and professional as she is. I am now taking guitar lessons with Tony and its great!  My expectations in lessons have  been exceeded again. In the first lesson with Tony, he taught me something on the guitar that I have wanted to learn for years and it only took 15 minutes. When you learn something in 15 minutes that you have wanted to know for years, it makes you wish you had not waited so long to take lessons.  So, all that to say that, if you are wanting to take music lessons, and finally learn what you have always wanted to achieve in music, this is were I go and would suggest anybody to come and try!
